What is bpa?
BPA stands for Business Professionals of America. It is a student run business club in which students participate in competitions, service projects, and helping with our school store, the Knight Knook. Students can gain valuable experience and knowledge as well as an opportunity to challenge themselves and meet new people outside of the regular school day.
What are competitions? do i have to compete?
One of the best parts of BPA are the competitions. You have the chance to compete at the regional, state, and national level in one of many competition choices. You can opt to take a written test to do a presentation by yourself or with a team. You are welcome to be a member of Hellgate BPA and not compete but competitions are a lot of fun and it is highly recommended that you try one.
If you are interested in competing, check out this link to see the available events!

how do i join bpa?
New members are always welcome to join BPA. Come to one of our monthly meetings in Ms Huguet's room! To officially become a member you will have to get a contract from our school store manager so that you are able to be trained and work in the store.
do i have to pay to be a member?
One great thing about Hellgate BPA is that the club covers the cost of competing in competitions as well as national membership. However, the club does not pay for the national membership of those not participating in competitions. This has no effect on your ability to join and participate in the Hellgate chapter and only matters if you want the official national membership status. If this is the case you can talk to Ms Huguet about paying a small membership fee.
when does bpa meet?
BPA meets on the first Monday of every month and as a member you are expected to attend each month. There will be occasional extra meetings for those participating in competitions or for community service to pay attention to our calendar.
